07 bluetooth MHI module - what space does it sacrifice? cupholders? other?

07 bluetooth MHI module - what space does it sacrifice? cupholders? other?
folks,
anyone with an 07 E class with the MHI BLuetooth module ?
where does that puppy fit? under the rolltop cover for the cupholders? under the cupholders?
it used to be that the upper tray of the first-year split-top armrest was where the phone cradles would go.
Since that upper tray isn't (?) part of the rolltop armrest, I'm wondering where the bluetooth module plugs in and if we lose the storage space in the armrest because of it.
anybody have one and care to enlighten?
