Worn B-pillar fabric replaced under warranty
Just above vent. Completely worn through small spot on passenger side which is odd as I only have a passenger on weekends. Driver side a few threads broken but noticeably worn. Car is 37 months old with 47k miles.
The service manager gave me absolutely no problem and said he had seen this numerous times, including cars with as little as 20k miles. I did a quick search and found no other posts on this so apologies if this has been addressed before. Based on his commment, I'm surprised by lack of discussion.

It's news to me. I'll have to check it out on mine. The wear was due to the shoulder belts, I assume.
By way of clarification, cars with four-zone climate control have vents on the B-pillar.

If you're talking about the "vent" on the forward facing portion of the B pillar, it depends on the seat position. If the seat is pushed back far enough, a person's outer thigh will rub on the B pillar as they enter or exit the car. I've been waiting for mine to wear thru, since I sit sideways on the seat facing out & then swing my legs into the car one at a time due to a weak/sore back, and exit the car in the reverse way.
