Looking to purchase 03 E320
Hi,
I just sold my 02 c-class and looking at purchasing an 03 e320, is there anything i should look out for, as I know there are common problem associated with certain cars, what about these? Any recommendation? do these have serious mechanical problems or minor headaches? thanx in advance

2008 E550
Some do and most don't. The only issue we had with ours was the tranny needing to be re-flashed for a soother take off from a stop.
We've been very happy with ours. (its for sale btw)

2003 E500
I spent the summer doing a lot of research, and in my area (Atlanta), it seemed more adventageous to purchase a 500 instead of a 320. You pay only slightly more, and the fuel mileage difference is dismal on paper. I also have more options on my 500 than the 320 as well. The power difference is monumental! Good luck.

was '03 E320 - now - '04 S4
I would avoid heavily optioned '03s. There have been a number of early '03s that have proved to be quite problematic (mine included)
There also seems to be a trend in that the more options - the greater the chances of problems. They are mostly electronic in nature.
My car had a few options but wasn't really crazy-loaded and it was very annoying. It has turned me away from M-B altogether.
Definitely run the VIN number by a dealer and get a copy of the service records and then decide.
