Different classes of W211 ?



On some installation instructions I've seen from MB, it will say things like:
MODEL 211.004 /006 /016 /023 /026 /028 /042 /043 /056 /061 /065 /070
I don't think that these are option codes; are they perhaps country codes?

USA has traditionally gotten what is mostly Elegance trim and of course a more limited selection of engines.
