I'm an audi guy, so the benz world is new to me. So far, I have put 60 miles on the car... i love it. For the last 2 years I split the daily driving duties between a 2000 A6 4.2 and a 05 S4 avant. I sold thhe A6 and still have the avant (for now). Both of the audi's are modded, so I'm assumking that I will get the mod bug w/ the benz.

1) what is the correct offset and best wheel size if I run 19's or 20's? Yeah, yeah run quality ( I have OEM A8 wheels on the S4 19x 9's, I'm used to it).

2) anyone know a good benz tuner in the southern NH/Boston area?

3) Is the lowering module OK w/ 4matics?

Nice to meet everyone, I'm sure I'll be a rugular... I have about 7,000 posts on audiworld. 8-)

Welcome to the forum.

2) There are a couple of indy shops -- Victory Auto in Peabody on Rte 1 (978-535-2780), and another just outside Wakefield ctr: John's Foreign Auto, 31 New Salem St (781-246-0959). One of these guys could possibly help you.

Regards,
Paul...

20+ to list......
Bostoned,
First off, congrats on the new ride, I am sure you will enjoy it more and more as days go by. I don't really have the answer to your wheel question, since I am using my E55's stock rim on my E550, but if you search around, you should be able to find out the spec. Does your car have Airmatic? If you don't know, next time when you get into your car, see if you have a button with a strut symbol located between the gear lever and the center compartment. If you do, then you can get the lowering module, otherwise, you have the traditional strut & spring setup which the lowering module will not work.
