Angry Door sill problem

I can't believe it -- my rear passenger door sill fell off while someone was getting in. I was pretty embarassed -- how does this happen on a >$60K car? The dealer had better fixed it gratis or else...

What car do you have? What year is it? and I am sure the dealer has it in stock and will fix it for you at no charge.

MB Fanatic....

Remember my just completed post over on the W221 forum about the quality of door sill plates? This was an E class car but the S550 plates look the same. Better keep some Elmer's handy guys!

Look okc329, I too had a 2001 E320 before I bought my E55. I will say that the W210 while it was a solid built car, it doesnt hold a candle to the newest W211, or W221.

It was damn reliable mechanically and electronically. However I had some problems with door seals, door sills, and a few other things here and there. It was a great car though.

Are you trying to tell me that your E has never had such an issue? And to the OP, these kinds of things happen to every car. They have happened to me on my TL, E350, even on my dads W220 S600.
