06' E350 Command max volume too low

Hey guys,
I know I haven't been posting much, but I've been reading this forum for half a year and I must say I've learned a lot just by reading. And lots of fun too.

My family just got a 06' E350 4-matic recently, with Command navigation system, but I find the max volume to be too low. I like to listen to techno/rave music loudly when doing some spirited run, sometimes. Other times, I like to have the windows down to hear what the car is doing. However, by simply turning the volume dial all the way to the right, the volume seems to get maxed out quite early. There is no signal or sign as to the volume has been maxed out, but I can clearly hear that it's not getting any louder when I keep turning the dial to the right. Is this normal? Anyone else experience the same thing?

Btw, i'm playing an Audio CD in this case, burnt using Roxio.

Try "navigation volume."

I had the same problem but do this, while the navigation is on, press REPEAT and while she's speaking turn up the volume. If it's too loud, you can adjust while pressing REPEAT and adjusting the volume kob to your setting...

i think he is mentioning the fact that he has navigation but is talking about the stereo sound/volume level.

Time to upgrade the sound system............................................ .................................... I guess you don't have the Harmonkardon sound system. I have done that before also.

I think you're going to find that some CDs are recorded at low volume settings and won't drive your car's audio system to loud levels. I have several that are this way. Try several CDs to see if this is your problem. Nothing to be done about it, AFAIK.

Yes, indeed i'm talking about the stereo sound level, not the navigation. I mentioned Command in case that it makes a difference.

And we do not have the HarmonKardon, I wish we did.

Sad to hear that this is not a "problem" of the e-class, anyway, the stock sound system is "ok" for the money, i just wish it could be louder.

Thanks for all your help
