All,

I just installed a Euro head unit into my E320 and have not been able to get into the engineering menu to adjust the DVD region. When I pop in a DVD it tells me that the unit is set for Region 6 (China I think). I believe that the head unit came out of a 2006 CLS, so any help woudl be appeciated.

Find someone with Stardiagnose to get the comand versioncoded (set to region code free, for example).

When I had the guy program the MOST loop I asked if it could be done and he said it couldn't. It is not that I don't believe you, but what specifically should I ask for? Also, is this something that the dealer would do?

Just keep trying the variations .Mine works with mute-hangup-service buttons....one button after the other.

 

This is the code that worked for me...


in audio mode:
press "mute" - hold
then press "service" and "phone down" at the same time - hold

That should access the eng menu.

Then to get the 3 hidden soft keys in the eng menu, press * + # + < (left arrow) at the same time - hold

That should bring up everything you need.

Dr Dist, this is the one to change the DVD in motion settings (uncheck all)

Reg code, to set the DVD region coding (top selection)

Backd, where you can enable MP3 palyback. (self explanitory
