Question on Pewter & Stone
Has anyone taken delivery of a Pewter and Stone color combo wit Sports Package?
What I would like to know what wood trim was supplied and how did it look?
Was the top portion of the dash darker than the bottom half as in Ash interior? TIA.

Every sport package comes with the black birds-eye maple regarless of interior color. So if you go with the stone, you will get the dark wood to go with it. Its all a matter of taste, personally i think the stone looks best with the standard burr wood.

i was apprehensive about the birdseye with stone. i ordered my car before i knew all spots packages come with the birdseye. my car comes next week but i did see a e320 sport at the dealership last week and was pleasantly surprised. the black wood looks nice with the stone and i liked it about the same as the burl. the only think i don't like about the sport is the stainless/aluminum trim by the gear shifter. would have been much better in wood. the birdseye is a more dramatic look but doesn't clash like i though it would.

I just saw a black on stone E240 at the dealer here and it had the black birds-eye too, it looked okay, true it doesnt really clash like i though it would, but still Burr is so elegant, and stone is an elegant color, if i ordered charcoal then i would go with Black birds-eye.

the stone looks awesome, our dealer had a sold 320 on the showroom floor. It looked very luxurious. No other color imo is more lux. than that. It is very light, but has a little yellow to it, i am not sure how to explain, your dealer might have one in stock

Thanks all. I finally was able to see a Stone interior in person. I understand that with the Sports Package, you will get black birdseye. Stone is very nice and elegant, but isn't it going to be harder to keep looking pristine?
Only thing left is being able to visualize what Pewter will look like on the E500.
If anyone comes across a picture, please post. The dealer does not have any car in Pewter to show me.

I also have the same combination on order, but I just received the Australian E Class brochure and on the color chart page it has the Pewter/Stone combination listed as "possible" and not "recommended".
Should we be concerned that this combination may not be a great match?
Note:
"Recommended" with Pewter is listed with the black and grey interior colors, and the blue interior is listed as "not recommended"

That was the same in our family, everyone else voted for Pewter/Grey and I wanted Pewter/Stone.
I'm paying,I win!!
Pewter is the nicest color on the E and the Stone interior is definately the most elegant so I am counting on them looking good together.
I really hope I'm right as there will be a lot of "I told you so's" if the colors don't match!!!
I get my car well after you,so come the end of October I will be very interested to see if we were right.

I sat in a desert sil/stone sports pkg 320 last night and I gotta say its just stunning. Fear not. I don't know if the color lots vary much but it was very light in color which complimented the aluminun?? shift gate and instrumentation very nicely. Definelty under consideration as an interior color for me. I thought the birdseye was nice, seem to fit nicely in the scheme, no bad contrasts. I don't recall the dash being two tone but typically the upper part is darker to cut down glare reflecting back onto the windscreen.

I saw a Desert Silver E Class on the road and I find the color a little too old fashioned for such a modern looking car.
Too goldern/beige for my taste.
Too "grandfather" looking!!
What do you think?
