Could any of these apply?
Service Campaign 2005070017 FEB06
Inspect alternator, replace regulator if necessary
E / SL (2002-2005)
Service Campaign 2005060008 JAN06
Programming battery control module
E (2003-2006) / CLS
Service Campaign 2005100009 NOV05
Inspect rear SAM control module, replace if necessary
E (2003)
I did have to have my battery replaced at about two years under the warranty. They told me that these batteries are not like the ones in the past in that they can test fine one day and go dead the next.

Consumer Electrics Shutdown
My new to me 2003 E320 started this about a week ago. Never noticed it shutting down accessories but this problem may be a fault attributed to poor service. Since the car remains under warranty, I cannot envision some shade tree mechanic messing with it but prior to 90 days ago, I could not say
Diagnosis from dealer:
"Check for codes Found Codes in on-board Electrical Supply 9050 and 9051 Check actual value of batteries voltage- Found both 2AL3L-TO8PO C63L -H9APO batteries passed MID. test codes Perform Electrical test on charging Found ALT output at 145 amps and 12 volts but intermittently will fail to 75 amps at 11.6 volts. Check Electrical connections on alt. Found tight. Found electrical cable between rear fuse panel and systems battery loose and arcing, was necessary to clean and tighten cable. Charging system works fine after. "
This must have been on the fuse panel end because I had inspected the battery clamp previously and it was tight.
Probably a "one off" problem but it would be easy enough to check.
PS I have a mini van with 120 amp alternator and I thought that was a whopper. You could arc weld with the MB unit

My friend's 220CDI did have a poor (bad) alternator belt, there was "malfunction electrical consumers switched off" message at the dashboard, and some of these systems were shutdown
