TO BADGE OR NOT TO BADGE

Ok Ive been going back and forth on this...Originally had E500 and KLEEMANN

Then Just E500

Then E50 K

And now NOTHING

SO let's get some Opinions PLEASE!

Personally I like the E50 K which is really what the car is..KLEEMANNIZED E500

I've had conflicting reviews..let me know what you think.

2003 E500
I made the switch from a 2003 5 Series to a 2003 E500 Sport. I found this onewith 16000 miles and couldn't pass it up. I'm looking forward to a pleasant experience.

My car is about a year old (to me) but my love for experimenting with some photography is new...

*Not color corrected yet
*Need to fine tune lighting effects
*Hardest picture taken that day due to traffic and angry elderly

I know that feeling!
but man, this is a great picture. The background looks great. True the drivers side could use some more light to showcase the body and wheels.....but hey! not bad AT all for a raw image

so tell us more about your camera equipment

Aw thanks Hyperion that means a lot to me especially coming from a very senior member of the forum. This isn't a raw image but rather a result of about 2 hours of work in Photoshop as the raw picture was very grayed out and not as sharp. I did a contrast/brightness adjustment, copied the background into three separate layers at 33% opacity to do individual channel processing for a bit of a cross-processed look, did preliminary color adjustment, lighting effects, gradient map at 5% opacity, high-pass filter, cropping, some editing with the sky and power-lines, vibrancy adjustment, decreased saturation by 10%, lens correction, and a couple other things including some refining of edges. This is my second automotive picture I've worked on thus I am getting my feet wet so the feedback helps me a lot =) my camera is actually very basic, it's like and entry level prosumer camera... a 12.2MP Fujifilm FinePix S2700HD with no tripod for this one. About $250 new.

You might think that now, but in my opinion the W211 looks fine with a roof rack if you get one that is nice. I hate the rear lights on the wagon, they look very dated - I think with a little modding you might be happier than the wagon but that is just my opinion.

Try the forum search or a quick Google query if you can't find what you need in this thread. The majority of us are sedan owners.

I've owned Avants in the past and several SUVs... The e63 wagon offers the best bang for the buck at the moment for a practical/sporty car. SUV is the most practical but generally speaking the least fun, sport car is the most fun but the least practical. wagon/estate/avant/touring seems to be the happy medium. (IMO)

If you like the look I agree. Personally, I am not very fond of them but I can't speak for either for you but good perspective.

I am new to the forum, just picked up this 30k mile, 1-owner 2006 E-500. Not many options except for Wood Steering Wheel, Sunroof & Rear Shade. Bought this W211 at a local Lexus dealer with bumper-to-bumper warranty & loaner until 90k. I really admire the effort members of this forum put into customizing, repairing, & maintaining their Mercedes.

Welcome and good call on the 06! And you are correct, there are alot of very meticulous owners here.

2003 E500
I picked up an 03 E500 with 16000 miles. The low mileage and Platinum Fidelity warranty until Nov 2016 or 75000 miles gave me the peace of mind to jump on this.

I take pictures of various milestones :-) I have already added 2000 miles in 2 months so it won't be low mileage much longer.

try and overlook the Costco rear shades - no rear shade option on this car.

Very nice find, dkiogora. Silver seems to highlight the perfect balance between sport & luxury on w211s.
