ECU Upgrade
I have mercedes E240 2003, As you may know these cars produced in 2003 jerks at low speed while shifting.
I took it to the Dealer they did gear adaptation, but the problem came back after three days.
Last week I took back and I told them that they need to do ECU upgrade, They confirmed that in the Technical service bulleting they have this in process after doing gear adaptation.
The service advisor told me that they need to remove ECU, see the part number, contact Germany, get the software upgrade version, then do the upgrade and return it back to the car.
1- Can anyone confirm that they need to take the ECU out to upgrade it?
2- Can anyone tell me if it should be done as a service campaign or I need to pay for it?
