E350 Lease !?!?!
Been negotiating (via email) with 3 dealers on an E350 sport.
The best I have for a one pay 27 month on a $55.6k car is $13,600 without tag and tax due to the $5.5k discount and $2k trunk $$. With the trunk money this deal is hard to pass up!
Has anyone else on the board leased one in Nov or this month?

I am also in the market now for '07 CLK350 and currently working with Smyth European. I am also intereset to know if any body in the forums takes the advantage of this "Winter Lease Special Offer" and what kind of deal/incentive should I expect to see.
Thanks,

Better
I was able to negotiate much better than the winter lease specials on the E350. Probably due to inventory and MB's desire to move these bread and butter vehicles.
Curious - what is your quote on the CLK? I had a CLK320 for two years - great convertible.

E350 lease:
13.6K sounds great -- how did you get such an excellent deal? I am looking for same car and deal, and have received one internet price so far -- 17K. Am located in NYC market. Any tips appreciated. Thanks.

Lease
Depends on the car. I'm trying to decide between the SAKS car $59.6 MSRP and a Black and Sahara beige car thats $55,565. Either will be about $6k off plus anther $2k for the MB lease money.
The SAKS car will be $15,200 total for 27 months including $1,700 for tax (8.5%) and tags (1%)
The other one is $1500 less or $13,700 including tax and license. Works out to almost exactly $500 a month with zero drive off including tax.
Irresistible.

$428.00/month + tax (4500 below invoice)
Here's the deal I got on:
E350/Premium1/Sports/Metallic/Panoramic Sunroof
MSRP = $56,000
Negotiated = $47,000 (approx 4500 below invoice)
27 month, 10,000 mi/year

Lease
That sounds like a very good deal.
Does your negotiated $47000 include the $2,000 trunk money - in other words was the $47,000 your cap cost?
Also, what was your drive off amount?

Flether Jones did not have the color/option that I want (only 3 CLK350 Couple in the lot) and not very straight forward with me about their best offer.
Beshoff is very aggressive (pushy) over the phone, want to take deposit to transport the car I want first (if they can find it).
To be continued.....

MB Deals are better...
- when the dealer has it in stock
- with volume dealers
- typically a deal in the LA area will be much better - the top volume dealers are all here. (Fletcher Jones, South Bay MB, House of Imports, Keyes European, Downtown LA, 1000 Oaks...)
- In my experience old school dealers like WI Simonson, Rusnak and other dealers are not willing to cut deals as good as the others

Black with Sahara Beige interior
Got it Monday night.
Black with Sahara Beige interior - its gorgeous. Options are Sport, leather, P1 and split folding seats (which fold flat - nice). Had to wait for the color but it was worth it.
MSRP was $55,565. $8,200 off sticker for a cap cost of $48,160 (including the $2k MB lease $ and $795 start fee) netted to $422 per month plus tax x 27 months in a one pay lease of $12,198. Tax and tags add another $1,542.
Pictures coming soon.....

10, 12.5, or 15?
Its a 2% change in residual value per bump in miles.

Miles
I drive my car very little because I live close to work and we have another - the lease is 7,500 miles per year. I only put 9k on my CLK in 2 years.
Residual is 73%. Bump is 2% for the first hop from 15k to 12k, then 1% to 10k and 1% to 7.5k as I understand it.

Is this a good deal??
Im about to lease a E350 4-matic which has an MSRP of $59,665, Invoice of $56,442 and the dealer is letting it go for $56,942 (500 above invoice). The lease 15K miles a year with 2396 down (1st month, cap, title, tags, bank fee, etc) comes to 835 a month. Is this a good deal? I know there is a $5000 dealer discount on E's but I've been told this doesn't apply to 4matics? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The dealer is in the NY/NJ area.

Why pay up Front?
Why in the world would you take your hard earned cash and sink it all at once into a car?. Makes no sense... that's what a lease is for and you invest the rest over 27 mos.
My DEAL:
07' E350 Sport Black/Black
15,000 miles per year
27 Mos
NO MONEY DOWN!! ( NEVER PUT DOWN A DIME!!!!)
699.00 per month including TAX
Cap Cost, etc. mean nothing if your not gonna keep the car...
I'll turn it in in 27 mos and get another..

Why....
Because my equivalent payment ($422.90) is more than $200 less than yours on a higher equipped car. I do drive less, so my miles are lower. What was your cap cost?
MB discounts the MF 110 bp if you pay up front. Had I paid regular MF of .00300 the payment would have been $520 plus tax, effectively saving me $100 a month if I paid up front.
I would have to earn over 10% in something 100% secure on the $12,200 to come out ahead. I can get 7-8% with little risk, but not over 10%.
Plus there is that peace of mind of not having to worry about a payment for over 2 years. That's probably only worth $10 across all 27 months though....

I was shocked to see his payment so low but now that I see he did the 1 lump sum lease deal his figures are much more in line.
I was looking at my deal and thinking I got nipped in the butt but I did the normal lease.
Cap cost means nothing in the lease? Not sure how you figure that since that number is what your payments come out of. Got to pay the difference between the cap cost and residual value and then add in some interest for using their money for those 27 months.

One other factor to consider when prepaying the lease, or putting a lot of money up front is if your car is totaled or stolen, the insurance would pay only the current market value of the car. After the lease company subtracts the up-front amount, you'll likely lose a chunk of your pre-payment. I think you always want to be upside down on the lease (unless you need to turn in the car in before the lease end), and have the gap insurance cover the difference.
