Resetting Throttle?

Not quite sure what your source was referring to, but it may have been one of two things:
1. Keep the "W/S" button near the gearshift lever in "S". That allows the car to start in first gear instead of second; faster off the line at the expense of fuel economy. "W" is for snow or ice on the road.
2. The car supposedly adapts to your driving style, so for instance if you drive aggressively, the ECU (or whatever) will "learn" to shift at higher RPMs than if you feather-footed it.
