Rattleling noise

I hear this rattleling noise at the bottom of my car, not towards the front but towards the middle of the car. I've taken it to a certified place for them to take a look. They told me that it was the Catalytic Converter, they said that it should do that noise when it's cold.. but the thing is that when the car is cold it doesn't do that noise. It only does that after 10 or 15 minutes of driving, and only at low rpms (on take off and when the cars switches to second gear)

any help would be appreciated?

Warranty on emissions equipment is 8yr and 80K miles.

Get it replaced at dealer soon.

Take it to the dealer and let them deal with the problem. It could be the Cat, or something else.

Did the "certified place" put the car on the lift and check underneath for something like a loose heat shield? A cat converter should not make rattling noises, but it's not unusual for heat shields to get loose and cause rattles that vary with speed or exhaust system temperature.

Catalytic converters can make a rattling noise if they go bad, however you should hear it under any sort of acceleration as more exhaust gasses are being passed throgh at that time.

Sounds like a cat... like they said it should be under warranty still.
