thanks for the 411

Hey I'm new Mercedes lifestyle..

Still feeling my way around... called a couple of mercedes dealerships talked to some mechanics.. I'm not sure if they gave me good or bad info.. but they recommend going with 19'in rims with thicker tire..for better control.. while the 20's look really nice.. they mentioned that I'm going to lose some of the performance of the mercedes..

Not true, your "control" (which is a very broad term) will be the same with 19s vs 20's. And the tire will be no thicker with 19" if you use the 35/30 setup.

Give me a call tomorrow and I will properly advise you of your options

Have a good one

Not true, you dont have to go that narrow to run a 20" wheel on the w211 chassis

I have twenty inchers on my 211 and I am a MB Master Technician. Enough said... the ride is noticeably more harsh, the tires exhibit more noise on certain roads, and they don't get along very well with pot holes. It's an E350, not a performance car by any means so I'm not worried about anything other than the looks.
