In dash CD changer stuck

I just loaded 4 new CD's into my changer and now it will not play them or eject them. I have been reading on the forums that possibly taking out fuse #6 out and resetting it may fix the problem.
Where is fuse 6? In the front near the driver side or the trunk? Also if in the front, how do i get the cover off?

THANKS!

Issue may be related to a CAN communication error between the Head Unit and the Upper Control Panel (UCP).

I just opened the back fuse box in the trunk and took out #6 and it did not resolve the issue. Any other suggestions? I have 51,000 miles on it so i think it is out of warranty and i really dont feel shelling out a couple hundred bucks to the dealer to fix it before i return it in 3 months.

You do not mention if your head unit has a cassette player, or single CD player? DTB – P-B-82.60/382a MAY06 addresses COMAND head unit and Audio Gateway (AGW) software updates. This is a free resolve and should correct the matter (i.e.: CD Changer panel stuck).

My unit has a Single CD player, cassette and a 6 disk changer. So these DTB – P-B-82.60/382a MAY06 are the updates that i get at the dealer?

Yes, it is simply a matter of applying Service Update Discs – total update process takes about 45 minutes.

we had our o6 for about 2 months and the dealer told me CDRs are the culprit as can be thicker. They said they would cover it once but not again. Never happened again.
