Tried to take a picture from my camera phone - did not come our clear enough ....

Also I spotted a gentleman driving the most beautifull E500 that I have ever seen. Spoke with him at 7 eleven in Plano. The color was pewter and had custom wheels. Said he lived in Frisco near you. Cant remember the gentlmens name.

Nickel: Not aware of any groups or meetings. I belive there is a MB club in the Dallas area, but time would not permit me to be invloved in anything like that. I live up in the Frisco area, Main\Teel area to be exact and btw, I do avoid Ewing and take my car all the way to Park Place.

On a side note my salesman told me he was the number one salesman at Ewing for a few years now (he only told me after I asked him who was number one) He said he sells around 14 new MBs per month. Anyone have a clue how much a MB salesman earns selling 14 car per month?

Let's think this through.
Assuming that the car being referenced in the OP was "altered" by the owner in an attempt to fool others into thinking he has an "AMG 35"
The owner surely knows that is not the case. Who would this person be trying to impress? Other M-B owners? Real car enthusiats? The only people who might actually take notice of such badging would be the people who know that he is a fraud!
I doubt that many chicks would care whether or not the car was an "AMG" model so it's doubtful that it's getting him laid.

At no point did I espouse the opinion that he couldn't do anything he wanted to do with his car. He could put on a huge picnic-table sized wing on it if he wants to. As you correctly pointed out - whatever makes him happy is fine.
It's just that IMO he is inviting ridicule with the poser badging.

As for events, the only thing I've done was a day on the track at Motorsport Ranch with a couple other W211 E-Class guys from this board. It was one of the best times I have ever had.

Isn't it about time you got a race car as well?
Mine is almost finished and in the paint shop right now - March 17th is another MSR track day and March 31st is race #3 for this rookie
I'll be at the track on March 17th, just not with the MB - therefore I didn't start a thread. Everyone feel free to sign up though, it's a blast! - www.apexdrivingacademy.com

I have the 6-speed 335i Cabrio coming in late April but need to break it in for a little while before torturing it on the track. Post some pics after the upcoming event!

. We've been waiting a while for a CDI 4Matic. It's about time we got one! This is like the other day I saw a Mercedes S50 AMG in the parking lot at the grocery store. Who do they think they are kidding?

That poser deserves to be ridiculed all over the net!
