Have you ever removed your seats?

I'm thinking of removing my driver + passenger front seat for some serious detailing/cleaning of the carpets this weekend..... has anybody tried to remove them? If so, was it easy and is there anything I need to look out for?

Thanks!

Replace the front seats in the wifes W211 with FULL Option seats Heat/Ventilated/Multicontour/Drive Dynamic with Massage ...Its easy...make sure the key is OFF
and do NOT Turn the key on while the seats are out..Unless You want SRS faults

All The way forward to remove the rear bolts..then all the way back to remove the front bolts..remove the plastic seat rail covers..and the seat belt at the side of the seat ...as for tools the Torx Sockets will be needed
Then apply Tape on the door sills to prevent scuffs/scratches

Use care when you remove it...I had mine to the dealer and they had to remove the passenger seat...did not protect things and ripped up some interior trim and scratched the paint of the door jambs...The seat get heavy and it is rather unweildy trying to get it out by yourself...
