06' E350 4matic

06' E350 4matic vs 07' 328i (in 1/4 mile)

Just purely in terms of quarter mile, both automatic, half-decent drivers (knowing how to launch), bone stock.

What will the results be?

E350 should take it if the driver takes advantage of the AWD (brake torque to get a high rpm launch).

yea i'm assuming both drivers knows how to take advantage of each car. Does anyone know their specific 1/4 mile times? I also want to know how close of a match they are.

I haven't seen a test on the 4matic, but the RWD E350 runs 14.7. The 4matic should be able to keep up with that all the way through the 1/4.

The 325i runs low 15's if I remember correctly.

Can anyone else comment on this subject?
I thought the 4matic would be slower than 14.7 in the 1/4 mile because of the 5 -speed tranny instead of the 7 and the fact that after the launch, 268hp is split to 4 wheels.
