Wheel/Tire suggestions, please?

Prior to ordering the Sport Pkg I had serious concerns about low-profile tires given our roads in the metro NY area.
I don't want to alter the suspension dynamics but wonder what 5 spoke 17" OEM wheels are available and what size tires would be compatible with our 4matic sport

17" wheels/tires

MB offers the Almach 5-twin spoke alloys in 17" and 18" sizes. If you search www.mercedes-benz.ca and click on to E Class, then click onto the "e-brochure", you will see several photos of these 5-twin spoke wheels.
I have seen these wheels mounted on various E Class and they look great. Very sporty and classy !
As for tires, check out Tirerack.com ; this site has lots of choices in 17" (245/45R 17") tires. The Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 is highly rated for summer or consider the Pilot Sport A/S for performance all seasons. My wife has had these for the past 4 years; they are a very good year round choice if you do not want the bother and expense of a separate set of snows.

That's because the sport package includes 18" 10-twin spoke wheels with 245/40R 18" tires. The non-sport version comes with 17" wheels/tires. If you want the sport package, but not the 18" wheels/tires, I'm sure you could do a trade with your dealer for a 17" set of wheels.
If you go back to the Tirerack.com site, try clicking onto "optional size 17" for the 4Matic sport. You should then get a wide choice of tires in the 245/45R 17" size.
