2006 E350 - Haven't changed oil yet

I bought mine in 12/05 and have 9K miles. I have yet seen a message to bring the car in for service.
I am wondering if I should just go ahead and change the oil or bring it in before the service message says so...

If you plan on holding on to the car for a long time, I would. If not, just wait for the service notification to pop up in another 4K miles.

Thanks.
I think I am going to go have it changed. It worries me. This is the longest I have gone without one in any car I have had...

No need to do that. Just wait for the reminder to come up. It will happen at 13000 miles or the calender time I believe of 2 years.

You're running with Mobil 1. It can handle the interval & is not loosing any of its protective qualities in you car. Mobil conservatively rates it at 15 thousand miles only to satisfy vehicle manufacturers.
