All they offered as far as w210 goes was the E320

You can find other AMG models, but not the E55, does anybody know where I could get an E55 model car?

They are scale models of the "models". They look pretty realistic don't they?

E55 AMG
At least there is a 1/24th scale platic model kit of the w210 E55 made by Fujimi. There is also an udpated 2000+ face lifted version of the w210 in 1/18th scale diecast as well.

Here's a photo of my personal collection. I custom built the '99 spec. E55 model on the left (based on the E320 diecast). The one on the right is the Fujimi 1/24 scale plastic kit, built & painted to match my full size version.

Cool, thanks, I've already checked and will order the fujimi car model to put it together.

On the E320 diecast, how did you change the wheels, where did you find them?

Fujimi has several w210 E-class kits. In addition to the 00-02 E55 AMG, Fujimi also makes a 96-99 E320 "sports version". (I have this kit as well, but have not had time to make it yet.) This kit has the AMG sports package cladding and AMG wheels, as well as optional E50 AMG decals. So it can be built to look like a '99 spec. E55 AMG.

Regarding my 1/18 diecast, it actually took 3 cars to make it. The E320, a C36 (which is where I got the wheels), and a CLK55 (which is where I got the engine). I added carbon fibre trim to the B-pilliars, painted the front spoiler, side skirts, and rear to emulate the AMG areo package, and added the "E55" and "/////AMG" logos as appropriate. Also changed the interior trim to two tone AMG black & silver, and added AMG tail pipes at the rear.

I heard the brand AutoArt is the best for model die-castcars. How does Exoticar compare? Are they good quality??

the little experiance I have with them has been good, their cars are nice and well put together, they distribute for model manufacturers.
I've only gotten from them 3 Impala SS, 1 Lambo Diablo, I Viper 2003. So far so good.

It all depends on the manufacturer, the Viper doesn't have much detail, it is made by hotwheels, look at this undercarriage

Yeah, I've had bad luck with hot wheels. Not very good quality in my opinion either. UT models looks like they do some very nice work. AutoArt has been my personal favorite because they pay very close attention to detail and the cars are excellent quality. I really want the Ferrari Enzo...but Hot Wheels has the sole rights to make it.
