Sun Tint on Windshield Top
Is there a reason Mercedes as well as other manufacturers have eliminated the Fade Away Shading at the top of the Windshield? While I don't know how effective a glare protection device it ever was, it made for a nicer transition between the roof and the glass.. much less abrupt, with the added bonus of not calling attention to all the black paint masking on the inside surface of the glass.
If it was money, I can't imagine how much of a savings it could be. I'm sure replacement glass doesn't cost any less than the glass from earlier years that have this tinting.
