A buddy of mine has a 03 E500 and got a card from MB. Basically told him that Tele Aid is being discontinued for his car on Dec 31 2007 unless he buys a 'hardware system upgrade.' The card references his service as 'analog'.

I have an 04 and don't remember seeing a card in the mounds of junk mail every day. Anyone know what years are being discontinued? Maybe after 03 the cars had digital??

He proberlyhave the old style TeleAid that uses analog cell technology. He will need to upgrade to a new digital style. That involves new hardware that he would have to pay for.

Do a search in the forum. There was a thread not long ago about this. IFAIR it was about $300 for the new HW + installation.

I am not sure what MY you need to have to have the digital TeleAid.
