I'm seeking some input regarding the best deals on new E550's. Kindly advise maximum discounts off list price. Also, will there likely be good deals on the 2008 models since the Eclass will likely change for the 2009 model year. When will the newly designed Eclass likely be available and the E63 version .

Best deals for 07s come around Fall because that's when the new 2008s arrive at the dealers.

The next generation E Class (W212) is scheduled for introduction Spring 2009 in Europe; likely late summer 2009 for NA as MY2010. It might be of interest to you that there will be no 7spd transmission for the E350/550 4Matic until the W212 is produced. As far as better deals on E Class than those currently being offered, I wouldn't hold my breath. Sales for E Class during the first quarter in the USA are up by more than 70% over the same period in 2006.
Production for MY2008 E Class begins in June, so there is little time left to order a 2007. If sales of remaining 2007 E Class continue to be strong, you might be better off ordering a 2008 model which would arrive late July or early August.

Sorry, I made a goof in the above statement. In Canada, 1st quarter sales for E Class are up by 76% !!
However, for the same period in the USA, E Class sales are up by 20%. Still an impressive gain.
Interesting to note that total 5 Series sales for the 1st quarter in the USA are down by 18% !
If current trends continue in the USA, E Class sales will exceed 5 Series for 2007.
