Break in period

Took delivery of my E500 (E1, E2) last Saturday. I'm leary of really "jumping on it" (ok, who am I kidding, I've had it over 100 already), since I don't know how long the break in period is. Or is there one? Please advise.

I wouldn't have push my new car over 100 mph. The break in period is one of the most important periods for any car. If it is done wrong it could cause problems with the car for a long time. Doing it right and taking it easy for a 1K miles will be well worth it. There will be plenty on time to get on it later.

NB,CA,E500: Congrats and enjoy. Those of us waiting are jealous. Fill us in on the details: color, options, MSRP, lease terms if leased, post pics on the official pics thread, etc.

Thanks for the replies. I am officially "under 70 and no hard accelerating" until 1,000... and then gradually.
