New to the Forum - Just got my first E Class
Switching from:
2000 Saab 9-5 v6 Turbo
8000k Xenon, 5% Tint, 18" wheels
TO
2006 Black Opel E350 4matic
Ash Leather
Sirius Satellite Radio
167 Non-Sport Pkg
626 Premium Pkg w/Panorama
I purchased this car from a family member with 5k miles on it. The woman driving it did not opt for the Bi-Xenon lights. I am 24 years old, and am new to the benz world. Can some of you help me with some mods that I am looking to do?
-I am a neat freak, and would prefer no messy ballasts or harnesses for the lights. Can I get OEM Bi-XENON installed in the car? Can you direct me to places to look? The headlights are the most important factor for me, and I would like to do everything OEM and the right way.
-Also I do not want to sacrifice the ride, so I was thinking 18" MB wheels.. Is this a safe assumption?
-Do you suggest with the clear side markers, that clear lights also be installed?
I hope to also lend a helping hand to everyone as I am very enthusiastic about my new car and plan to learn alot within the near future. Have fun driving!
As for the xenon headlamp assemblies, I seem to remember that they cost around $1000 each. Of course there are other components like the igniter, etc. Try searching the forum for a DIY, I seem to remember a thread about this a while ago.

So to go from the Halogen lights in my 2006 E350 to Bi-Xenon will cost 1000 per light? Wow
