Capri blue with ash Sport without a doubt. That combo looks awesome in person, plus I don't think you'll see yourself coming and going in Capri blue (once the E's start to fully hit the streets in numbers).

What I meant was that I don't think Capri blue is going to be a very common color for the E. Where just for the fact that Benz offers no less than 3 different shades of black (black is popular, always has been).......so your going to see more black E's than Capri blue.

If I pick one from above colors, I will choose the former because it looks sharper. (obs. black is a great color.)

btw, ask your boss -- another half, who usually has a better sense.

Did you look at the Plat Blue and the Pewter? I like both of them a lot.

It is hard and my wife and I went back and forth a lot too. Black is a great color but I don't have the time to keep it looking good. Just remember whatever color you pick the car will look great! Good luck.

A little off the subject, but what about platinum blue? I've seen the pictures posted by juke-box of his car, but it seems a lot more "blue'er" than the picture of the car on the front of the "E-class" brochure.

Any more pics, juke-box that show the car in different lighting??

Posts on this Board have said it is now standard on the E500 but I talked to my dealer today and he knew nothing about that and said it still showed on his computer as a $100 charge on my E500.

For the E320 I have talked to multiple dealers that have told me $100 for the E4. The E500 information came from that website, I have not asked the dealers about this..even though I am still on the fence for the E500.

Abhansali, the plat blue is one of those metallic colors that looks quite different in diff't lighting conditions. In bright sun it goes toward the silvery blue side and as the lighting gets dimmer it takes on a richer deeper blue. I ordered it with the ash interior and saw it at my local dealer - they felt it was the 'hottest' color on the lot and the car sold within a few hours. BMW has a very similar color which is getting popular. I think you'll see more of these once people get a chance to see them. Ordering a new color like plat blue before even seeing it in a brochure takes some guts.

Well, I was in Houston this weekend, and called up the MB dealer and he had a plat blue E320 that I went and saw. I really liked the color, but did not like the blue interior that was in it. It would look great with Ash IMO. My wife also liked it also, but she liked the pewter+charcoal combo better (which I thought was okay).

So know the battle begins...

I'm not saying it was bad, just IMO the Ash will look better.
