how to clean the Steering wheel

I have that black lookin crap on my steering wheel.. I tried using this leather cleaner but just made it worse..

If your steering wheel is any color other than black & you're seeing black stuff on it... it's probably not dirt. It is actually the surface color slowly peeling off. The only way I have ever found to fix this is to use a leather paint factory matched to your interior. Yes, they actually make leather paint that is completely pliable. Its what they use to color the leather on all cars. I've redone tan colored seats as well as steering wheels many times in the past. I would check with your dealer as most of them have someone that re-conditions their used cars.

I had mine replaced under warranty when that happened.

If you're out of warranty, I see non-wood steering wheels on ebay all the time for 50-100 dollars.
