Saks Edition was limited to a certain number of models and iirc was only available with the E350 when it was out.

LOL, MB couldn't care less what "AMG people" think. Fact is, MB (and also BMW with their M-technic kits) has been offering AMG package on all their 'non-AMG' cars in overseas markets for years. AMG owners in Europe don't care as much as what others think of them or their cars as Americans do, and it's common for them to debadge or intentionally put on a E230 badge on a E55. Also MB sells 100 regular E-class for every E63 they sell. Who do you think MB will cater to more?

Are you saying MB could care less about what the AMG folks think?? Are you sure about that? I dont think MB would agree with you. I am sure they care a great deal about their AMG customers.

They do, but they're not going to worry about it. The pre-facelift had a pretty rare sport package that looked exactly like the E55, the W220 had a sports package that looked almost exactly the same, the W163 had a sports package that looked almost exactly the same, the W164 had one almost exactly the same. Not sure if I recall any uprisings against it.

The sports package on the Saks 5th Ave. is far from exactly the same as the E63. The models I mentioned above were closer to their respective AMG models than the AMG package E to the AMG E.

I know I am months late on this but his car is a winter edtion I have one too . It has a black interior not a tan like the Saks car and it also has paddle shifters on the steering wheel. I took the numbers off the back and everyone thinks its an AMG . It is also sienna black which is only on this car this year. I too found it at the dealer I had never heard of it and I still cant find any info on it anywhere on the MB website , I was told it was a limited production. if you want more info feel free to email me

in 2007 it did, that or the Saks edition was the only way to get factory AMG bumpers on a W211.

Here is a simple solution to this question. Anyone who thinks they have a winter edition, look at your window sticker, and post the option code for the winter edition.

Sienna black is available on any E350 now. I just got one w/o AMG or Special edition. The AMG pacakge is an added $2,000. Good luck finding one around the NE though. I spent weeks and tons of dealer searches. Could find one, but then deleted other options that I wanted. I guess if you want what you want, you have to order it.

BTailor, I love that setup and if we decide to get another E, then that would be the way to go but in a different color, I won't bite off your style completely

Jetfan is exactly right. There is an '07 winter package and it has a black interior as shown in the pictures in this thread, as opposed to The Saks 5th Ave edition which came in only tan interior. Both have the same AMG appearance package, which can now be ordered on '08 models for $2,000.

Saw a classifed for an '07 E350 Limited Winter Edition, and was curious ..... didn't see much on a quick google search.

So: Bottom line, the Winter Edition is similar to the Saks 5th Ave "Keys to the Cure" edition, including the Sienna black paint and AMG kit/wheels, but with Black interior and 4Matic (which also means 5spd transmission)?

I still want to see a window sticker from a "winter edition" car. The option package printed there with an explanation would be nice.

I don't think my dad kept the Window Sticker, and I still till this day don't know what the exact name of the car was. Whether it was Sak's 5th Ave edition, or Winter edition I have no idea.

If I would've went with my dad at the time of purchase I would've known, but in a span of 2 years for looking for a e class we went to about 10+ dealers within a 200 mile radius. My dad ended up getting this the time I was in Florida on Spring Break.

My car looks exactly the same. its just an AMG sport Package for $2000 extra, makes the car looks completely different.

Since your car has a black interior w/ 4Matic, I'm guessing it's the Winter Edition, and not Saks.

A bunch of people have chimed in that the AMG Package was made available starting MY08 as a standalone option, but I guess for 07s the only way to get it was either Winter or Saks limited editions.

I will look for the window sticker . I know it says winter edition on it. But if you think about it there is nothing that makes this a better car in the winter except the 4 matic. By the way if anyone wants it the lease is up march 09 . the car is way to fragile for me. I already had to replace one wheel for $1000.00 and I dont even know how i bent it.! and yes I am very very careful. anyone know any lost cost ways to had horsepower? K&N airfilers system?

Thank you very much, it is great to finally see what that option package is. I may be wrong, but it looks like a Saks edition that trades the sahara leather interior for 4matic, probably to introduce the AMG package to colder climates.
