Does anyone know what the VCM kit Q6820827 costs? I canceled Voice Control when I ordered my new '08 E350 but if I decide later to add the VCM, I'm curious to know what it costs.

The car has the P2 option package so the kit should be a simple plug and play arrangement.

MSRP is $665.00 but you can by it from Steve at Duval for $518.70, or do what I did and pick it up on ebay for $300.00 (new in the box).

Thanks for the great Info. If I can pick the kit up for less than the option would have cost me when I ordered the car, I'll go ahead and get it. I'm really disappointed that the VCM doesn't support SAT radio or the Nav system but for $300, it's something my wife might use.

Can you tell me if it is just plug and play or will I have to have the dealer program something?

Bud, your car is a 2008, it's not prewired for VCS.

Oh, my mistake. I assumed it would be the same as the 2007 and I assumed that if the 2007 had the hands-free communications system that it would be pre-wired. Thanks.
