Thumbs up No Cali e-motion impressions

First terrible things happened that I forgot a digital camera, so sorry guys no pics. Another, that MB had mess with pre-registrations made online, so I had to register again and missed the session I arrived and had to wait for next one. After short presentation of the new cool E class features we were allowed to drive. E320 and E500 were available for driving. The presentation itself was quite cool and reminded me some religious actions. The drive course was too short to get right impression about acceleration, braking and handling. There wasn't any restriction how many time to drive, however waiting in line for driving isn't so pleasant. I drove only E500. I have mixed feeling about the new E class. Many people noticed much better acceleration than previous E.. However, I didn't notice that. Handling looks a bit better as braking as well. There are only impressions of very short drive. Beside driving, MB presented all product line, so I could seat almost in all possible Mercedes. I was impressed by S430, SL500 looked also very tempting. I spend some time to evaluate the new E class interior. I found some good and bad things comparing to old E430. I believe new E class trunk is the biggest in entire product line now. It's huge, and has a normal net. However, I do not like that I can open trunk only pressing button on the driver door or remote. I believe old possibility to open trunk was better. Garage openers buttons moved to the center of mirror and they can be pressed without moving mirror. Steering wheel adjustment buttons moved from the door to underneath of the steering wheel similar to other car makers. Probably it's good. Actually, I noticed that new E class has all controls in standard places where you can find them in another cars. Only seat adjustment buttons are still in unusual place. All buttons became smaller, probably due new placements. I didn't find new clock appearance and place very attractive. The shifter with leather boot looks good for me. Glove box became bigger and got to levels. It looks like no aux input in the glove box anymore. It could be bad, unless the new navigation system will be capable to play MP3 disks. The extra storage for glasses is convenient. New 4 zone climate system looks cool. Actually, it looks like MB thought a lot about comfort of passengers on back seats. I didn't notice that backset space became smaller. Overall interior became better although lost some uniqueness.
