E-Class recommendations

So I want to build a MILD show car. The car scene up here in Cleveland isn't crazy, so a nice cleanly built car will get you a trophy. I have always been intrigued by the big body benzes, despite what people say about maintenance. I still want something with some *****, so I was thinking an E500.

Basic mods I would want to do is a nice-riding drop. Do they make coilovers for the E class? What about airbag suspension? I do not want to just add shorter springs and sacrifice what it probably a great riding car.

Then I would want wheels. No bigger than 20 on a coilover and probably would push no more than 19 with bags. A nice clean chrome 5-spoke rim; split or solid. I've always been a fan of 5 spokes.

Next would be a BBK to go with the 5 spokes. I dont like Brembo because they build universal kits. I know there are companies out there that make model-specific brake kits, just not sure of the name

Tint- self explanatory

A system would be installed. The large trunk should be plenty big to fit a decent system with components all around.

The only other A/V I would add are TV's in the headrests. I don't want to make it ridiculous

The last thing I would do is some sort of body kit. Either an OEM E55 kit or something nice aftermarket.

My question to you is do you think an E-Class Benz is the right car to do this to? I was debating a few SUV's but the only decent SUV show cars are way too big for todays economy. I've always loved the elegance and class that go with the car, so I would want to do classy, clean mods to it.

I'm not sure how far away cincinnati is from you but check out Spade Kreations. I know they have done a few benz's and do really good work.

Cincy is a bit of a haul from me. Probably about 3 hours. I'll definitely check them out though. I have a buddy in the towing business so maybe he can help me get the car down there cheap.

I'm in C-bus and have yet to see an E-class like you describe at any show, autocross, etc. I'll let you know if I run across anything. Good luck.

By the time you finish modding correctly, you'll be in the E55 range. Audio alone is a nightmare on these cars.
