SRS indicator on

I've had this 03' E320 for a little over a year. It's pampered. Just had 60K service completed at the dealer. Yesterday the SRS light came on. Has anybody had this happen on an 03'? Am I in for an airbag replacement? Is there a DIY fix before I have to go back to the dealer? The 60K service was right at $800 and that was with me changing the plugs, air filters and wipers myself. I have an OBII scan tool. Can I hook it up to this car? If so, where is the plug-in? Thanks for any help.

I had a water leak in the rear bottom corner of the back window (loose gromet) and the SAM got wet. The SRS light came on (along with a bunch of other malfunctions that went away when it dried) and I took it to an independent shop to check it. They used the STAR DIAG and there was no SRS fault code, just a generic fault code that they erased and the light/message went away. $45 for the diagnostic.

The dealer should be able to diagnose it, just tell them it came on right after you left and they probably will not charge you.

The scan tool will not work for SRS on our cars. The plug is under the dash on the driver's side, under a little door. I tried that route and had to return it.

Cheers
