ARMREST??? Is yours split down the middle in 2 pices or one??

ARMREST??? Is yours split down the middle in 2 pices or one??
I have seen pictures of e class armrests as one big piece if you are looking at it from above but I have also seen them as split in two pieces. I am not talking about the 2 levels but just how it looks from above... Are there 2 kinds or something??

i have only seen one type ,,,that opens like a clam shell on the top

It is a clam shell. Looks cool but unlike previous models, you can actually open both top and bottom comparments at the the same time and jetison the top compartment contents into the back seat.

I'll bet you can guess how i figured that out.....
