Thanks for all the replies. Understand the balance and streamlining, just seems like having seat and mirror settings recognized by a key would not be too much to ask in a car of this price point. Even my XC90 by Ford, I mean Volvo did that. Does anyone know if it's a software only change that could be implemented? Was also hoping I'd be able to save menu settings such as daytime running lights, etc.

The music source volume will remain at their old volume.

The music fade out is a different adjustment. If you are unable to distinguish between the music & Nav comand talking & singing at the same time, you would adjust it to make the music volume lower in addition to increasing the NAV directions. (That way you don't have to have the NAV chick scream at you.)
Tried it today Barry and it worked like a charm.
There must have been a Command vol adjustment in '03 because on the "fade" options screen there
is a Vol adjustment softkey box, but its"whited" out. ( that's the one the manual shows as being the way to do it)

05 E500 Wagon
Yesterday I had some time to finally fiddle with some of the options on my new to me wagon. I have two smartkeys with the different colored tabs without the keyless go option. As stated above, in the manual it says in the key dependent section of the system to activate it on for each key being dependent. This is supposed to be under the convenience submenu. When I go to that submenu I cannot obtain the key-dependent feature. Am I doing something wrong or is this feature not available on my model. This is a 05 E500 wagon. Thanks
