Was at a function last night in Palm Beach where they had valet parking. When
I pulled in, the guy quickly opened my door, gave me my ticket and drove off!

When it was over, I returned to the valet area, a different boy rushed up, asked
for my ticket and what kind of car I had. I told him a black Mercedes. Off he
zipped.

But, I waited and waited and waited and waited. No car and no boy. Now, being
the extremely polite fella (that you all know I am) I politely went to another boy
and told him I thought boy #1 got lost.

So, then boy #2 disappears off into that vast, dark and mysterious valet parking
expanse to locate boy #1 - and get my car to me immediately!

BUT - AGAIN - I wait and wait and wait and wait! Now I've lost TWO boys and a
new E-350! Things weren’t looking good! (Even as a drop-out from the head-start
program, I could see a deterioration here!)

Wild thoughts started going through my mind: Should I risk boy #3? There were
only so many of them.

But, then it HIT me as to what must have happened: Boy #2 had found boy #1.
He chewed boy #1 out which had to make boy #1 mad. Now, I always carry a
32 in my car. Not too well hidden. When boy #2 chewed out boy #1, boy #1
found my gun, shot boy #2 then killed himself!

Woe is ME! All I want to do is get home to my two little dogs .. Willie and GiGi.

BUT, now I've got a Murder/Suicide!!

I decided to take things in my own hands! So, I started toward the last known
direction of the boy’s disappearance. About half way, I met them both, slowing
(sorrowfully) walking back .. both repeating to me, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

Well, what had happened, they took my “keyless” car so quickly, while it was
running, that I had forgotten to give them the key. When boy #1 went to get it,
he couldn’t figure how to start it! Then, neither could boy #2. They were both
probably too embarrassed - right away - to come back and admit that they
couldn’t figure it out. (I still tipped boy #1.)

WOW, I really thought there was another ending to this story. Talk about a title error, you should have said catastrophe avoided...

I hearby fine you $1500 lilliputtins for deceptive and misleading posting and order to go out and wash and wax your car and mine for this offense...

 

Shouldn't your two little dogs be named "Smith" and "Wesson"? I sometimes wonder how many of my fellow drivers are packin' heat. I probably don't want to know.

 

Haha! Nice story. Lucky they didn't have the keys or they might have done some other things with it...like joyriding.
