Operating Temperature Gauge Reading
I have a 07 350 with 7500 miles on it and I've a question regarding the operating temperature and how fast it takes to get there. I live in California. Let's say it's 80 degrees outside and I start the car in the garage. Let it warm up for about 20-30 seconds, drive for about 1-2 miles and I look at the temperature gauge the temperature reading on the gauge is one bar above 80. Sometimes 2-3 bars. I can drive around town and on the freeway and it never get's higher than 2-3 bars above 80. If I park let the car sit for about 5 minutes and restart it, I can hear the fan(aux fan?) come on for about 10-15 seconds and then disengage.
Maybe I'm paranoid but is this a problem? Reason I am asking is that I don't remember the temperature gauge reading displaying theses numbers (under the same circumstances) within the past couple of months. Is this the way it should be after 7500 miles? I would like to know what the temperature readings in other E350's under similiar circumstances. Any help would be appreciated.
