Lug bolts for a E500?
hello everyone,
just a quick question, does anyone happen to know the lug bolt size on a 2003 E500 (OEM 5-spoke wheel design). I've been having the most difficult time finding them (which I figured I would).
Moral of the story, I changed my OEM wheels in exchange with my 20" wheels, not paying any attention that Town Fair Tire never gave me back my stock lugs and now they're gone for good.
I know the lug bolts are 14mmx1.5 -- just unaware of the shank size as well as the cone type...
thank you for any help in advance..

if you know that they are indeed 14mm x 1.5", that's pretty much it.
uses 17mm socket
14mm radius ball seat (MB only uses ball, never cone)
14mm diameter bolt
1.5" shank length
if you measure the wheel cross section right at the ball seat....and to
the hub mounting surface, it (I'm guessing) is about 3/4". dbl check.
your bolt shank should stick beyond this by about 3/4" or so. any longer
and it may reach into the brake mechanism and hit them upon rotation.

check out the offerings from them. RAD bolts are pretty well made as well. but
why not just get them from dealer to ensure proper ones? from the above site
you'll see either 35mm or 40mm - 1.5" comes to 38mm. I don't want to advise
getting the 40mm length and find out that you're 2mm over and learn that you're
hearing the notorious 'clicking' after you've installed them.
