E Wagon Price?
Am new to the forum and likely to become a new wagon owner. Anyone willing to share price experiences with 2007/8 E wagons? Any thoughts regarding buying a 2006 wagon instead of new (price seems to be 47k to 49k with mileage below 10,000) Thanks in advance.

I bought an 05 E500 with 7K on it for $48K earlier this year. the car has every option on it other than the parktronic... (the car listed for $72K)
I clearly paid up for my car by about 5K or so.... but it was physically perfect.
I believe that if you buy one of these that has been certified (cause they do have bugs to be sorted)..and you take advantage of some of the financing specials from MBUSA (3% or something) ... it is a better deal to buy used. the new cars are practically the same (though, people will argue that the quality is better... but again, after I got my little bugs sorted.. my car is fine).. the depreciation is going to be easier to stomach on a used one versus the new car.... and not to mention the model change coming in 09!

A new car takes a huge hit on depreciation in its 1st 2 years, then the rate of fall is a "controlled fall". Buying a new car is an emotional decision. Buying used is a thought out better business decision.
