Wagon with 3rd row seats
I have just taken delivery of a E63 wagon with the third row seats. The car didn’t come with a spare tire. However, I do believe that other E-Class wagons (even with the third row seats) came with a spare tire. I suspect a full size spare is out of the question but even a space saver or a collapsible wheel is more comforting than just a tire fix kit. I just want to find out from those of you who have a wagon with the third row seats what kind of spare tire your car came with, and what size the rim was? I would love to retrofit a spare tire but my only concern is that the rim of the space saver or collapsible is not big enough to clear the front AMG brakes.

Hi Pat - I have a E500 T with the third row seats and a spare tire with a steel rim. T 155/70 R 17.
I think that you can fit a larger tire in there, up to 245 perhaps, of course you would have to remove the Tirefit and the maybe the plastic mold. I would take it to the MB dealer they should be able to retro fit.

You need the collapsable 18" spare that's used in Sl's and E55's. That's the only one that will clear the front calipers. I got mine on Ebay, but they don't come up very often. Good Luck.

Anyway, does your spare tire well under the third row seats look like mine? Did you just put the collapsible in there or did you also get some sort of bracket to secure the tire? It would be most helpful if you also have the parts number for the collapsible tire because the dealer here is not the most helpful.
