Anyone got a Head Up Diaplay unit installed - either factory or aftermarket? Please post ppictures and share your opinion/recommendation.

Thanks Jimm...I might install one on my E500 and bounce the image off the windshield.
I have it on my C6 vette. Leave it on all the time but, really
don’t look at it much - EXCEPT when I'm using the Nav. It is
kinda nice then.

You might want to check on the BMW forums. It's offered as an option and I've read several threads commenting on the utility of their heads up display.

How would one install an after market, non-OEM HUD? Where do you get the display input, would it be for the navi display or the instrument cluster display?
The Nightview on a W221 might be nice with HUD.

I bought this unit from China and it is supposed to display the speed and acceleration plus distance while backing up (if sensors are installed). When not being used, it will just show time i guess, but I am hearing that there might be some difficulty connecting to the W211 as the data from the ODO is carried along fiber optics...Can anyone confirm this?
