Smile Genuine MB Sun Shield / Shade? Any opinions?

Living in Southern California and having a good sun shield is a real necessity when it comes protecting car’s interior from excessive heat and harmful UV rays. I have been using a ‘cheapo’ shield for the last 12 months but would like to upgrade to something more custom-made. I called MB dealer and got a quote for a genuine Mercedes sun shield designed specifically for W211. The quote was $54 plus Tax. There are other companies on the market that offer custom made shields for W211. For instance, here is a link to one:

http://www.autoanything.com/driving-...0A1860359.aspx

It is $5 cheaper than MB but price is not a real factor here. I wanted to see if anyone on this forum uses MB shield and whether you’d recommend to buy it at all.

Thank you.

I was given a complimentary MB sun shield from the dealer when I purchased the 03 211 and continue to use it with the CLS, definitely durable, and I recommend it. Take note of my location as this may assist in your decision process. Not an expensive accessory nevertheless contact fellow member KYBENZ https://mbworld.org/forums/members/28130-kybenz.html for cost comparison.

I got mine today and must say that it's a very nice, solid-built and great fitting shield. Definitely worth the money!

MB500, i'm glad you like it. I'll probably buy the official MB one as well then.
