Sunroof Problem
Hey Guys,
Having an issue with the sunroof. If I try to open it, it only slides back about 1 inch. I have to keep tapping the button for it to go back all the way. Once it is open it will close with no problem. I also tried to hold the button to open it, but that doesn't work either. Anyone have a suggestion?

It sounds like a programming problem. When the battery is disconnected or dead, it requires reprogramming some functions in the car. I think you hold the sunroof switch open or closed for 5 seconds or something like that. Someone will chime in with the exact procedure. I have a Japanese car and it does the same thing. Must be something that the universal sunroof motor association cooked up.

My CLK does the same thing. I got out of the car, locked it and held the remote button down for about 5 to 10 seconds. Actually I did it twice and it began to work fine again.
