Does anyone have any positive experience installing the clear film protection himself or herself ?
It sells for $25 on ebay vs.$300-700 installed by pros

Agreed. You spent money on a great car. Spend a little more and get it professional installation. It's very difficult to get it to sit well and contour around the fenders and bumpers, not to mention the hood.

ok to be more clear, the Clear film on eBay is OK quality and its not DIY at all it takes alot of time molding heating stretching and all, BUT the eBay film is not 100% clear its frosty looking which isn't to desirable for any color so with that being said go with the Pro install and theres 2 kinds that I know of which are Great from personal expierience 3M clear Bra and AeroTect which is Great also the aeroTect is cheaper and stronger and wont yellow out lifetime warranty the 3m has been out longer and is thicker but on white or light color cars it is known to yellow a bit not much but noticeable. Good luck

Don't even attempt to do it yourself. If you make a mistake and need to take the film off, you might rip the paint out.

I just had my car done at Premier, they are the BEST. They use venture tape, which is even more scratch resistant than the 3M and uses better adhesive..... Go with Premier, they have AWSOME customer service and lifetime warranty on product and installation. Plus, they've done all kinds of cars: Bugatti Veyron, Enzo, SLR, Porsche Carrera GT, CLK BS, etc....

Here is the website ---> www.premiermobilegroup.com

I heard about the venture tape but couldn't find any installers using it up here..
