New E wagon?
HELP!
We need to make a decision and the Dealer can't seem to get us any hard information. Our current E320 wagon lease expires in December. We had planned on extending so that we could get the new E wagon next spring.
Unfortunately, the Dealer now say's that the wagon is delayed until September 03 AND that it may not have a 3rd seat.
Does anyone have a handle on when the new E wagon will be available and will it have a 3rd row seat?

Here is my understanding -- there is an '03 wagon but it is the old body style. MB did the same thing this year with the CLK Cabriolet.
The 04 will have the new 209 E bodystyle. It's not that its 'delayed' until September, it's not 'available' until September 03.
No info on the third seat except an observation .... the new E is more streamlined than the old one. As a result, they may not have the head room to offer a reasonable third seat.

Looks like plenty of room in the back. if there is room enough for storage boxes, probably enough room for a 3rd row.
I would be really surprised if they did an 04 launch of the wagon so close on the heals of the 03 but stranger things have happened.
