Hi all,

I'd really appreciate your help on this one:

My car has the standard D2B wiring and I was wondering whether it would be possible to upgrade it to MOST wiring.

If so, how much effort/money would it take (i.e. would it be worth my while?)

I actually bought a Euro COMAND but once the technician removed my standard Audio 20 and exposed the wiring behind it, he told me that it is not compatible with my new Euro COMAND and that it would not be worth my while to try and change the car's wiring (too expensive).

I assumed he was talking about D2B and MOST.

Is there any reason why a Euro COMAND can not be swapped in with the Audio 20 in a 2003 W211?

But you are from the US (not sure if Audio 20 was available there)? Should ask if Sunil would do it (not sure if it still would be too expensive but at least would not be "cannot be done" answer). At least it is not a D2B versus MOST issue. You could post your VIN for details but perhaps the issue was that you do not have audio gateway. Did you plan to have navigation too?

Is it Audio 20 CC or Audio 20 CD?

Sorry I forgot to mention that I'm from overseas (Dubai, to be precise).. My car has Audio 20 CD as standard.

My VIN# is 2110611A474850, I hope this helps.

Since your car is from dubai, it will most likely require an audio gateway in the trunk, related wiring, and comand unit. Not as simple as USA cars.
