e350 06: 17 to 16 tires?

e350 06: 17 to 16 tires?
I live in NYC (no, don't tell me to move).
I keep bending rims: 4 of them in 15k miles.
It is getting ridiculous and dangerous (I try to avoid potholes and that shouldn't be my priority when driving).
This is my 4th E class (since 1990). Never had a problem with the others.
So I am thinking about changing to 16 wheels and rims.
My dealer is working with me and is sympathetic.
