Does AMG pkg include steering wheel mounted gear paddles?
=======
Yes, BUT, so you won’t be disappointed, for the paddles to work, you
have to completely STOP and shift it into the sport mode. This would
be a pain and - IMHO - make the MB paddle shifters about useless.
In contrast: My Corvette - with paddle shifters - can be shifted in and
out of sport mode at any time and at any speed. This is largely what
makes the paddle shifters fun to play with .. as the notion inspires ..
whether going 100 or 20!

Really? Full Stop?? That seems to defeat the purpose no? My Audi had the paddles. You could shift on the fly. Honestly, I used them twice. Generally used the shifter on the floor more often (hard to break old habits). I think on the Audi they were more of a novelty. It let you "play" but if you didn't shift when you should, after a few seconds the car would throw itself back into automatic mode in sport.
